Daniel comes from a respected legal family in Papua New Guinea. Apart from his formal legal training in Papua New Guinea, Daniel also attended and successfully completed the Victorian Bar Readers Course in Melbourne and the Australian Advocacy Institute in Sydney in 2008-2009.

He has more than 15 years’ commercial and litigation experience in Papua New Guinea. Daniel is an experienced advocate and barrister, particularly in commercial, banking, insolvency, finance litigation, property disputes, wills & probate, judicial review matters including claims against the State and State entities.

Daniel has also practiced in the criminal law jurisdiction successfully defending clients charged with both summary and indictable offences. Daniel has also been involved in mediation under the Court appointed Alternative Dispute Resolution facility. 

Daniel has worked in four major law firms in Papua New Guinea and has developed a robust understanding of the legal systems and processes in Papua New Guinea and a pragmatic approach in addressing client’s issues with particular emphasis on achieving outcomes for the client.  

He appears as Counsel in the National and Supreme Courts of Papua New Guinea and is recognised in The Legal 500 Guide to global leading lawyers.
